Mexico head coach Jose Manuel de la Torre has named his 22-man squad to face Guyana and El Salvador in CONCACAF region qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Captain Rafael Marquez is unavailable due to a hamstring strain, but a pair of 22-year-old midfielders, Pachuca's Hector Herrera and León's Carlos Peña, could pick up their first caps.
Mexico is currently top of Group B in the third round of FIFA World Cup qualifying, having taken maximum points from its four matches so far.
The match against Guyana will be played on Oct. 12 in Houston, Texas, and on Oct. 16, El Tri will host El Salvador in Torreon, Coahuila.
