Darren Fletcher could be set for a first start for Manchester United
in more than 10 months in their Capital One Cup clash with Newcastle at
Old Trafford on Wednesday.
The Scotland captain has been recovering from a chronic bowel problem that has kept him out for almost an entire year.
New signings Nick Powell and Alex Buttner could also make the
starting line-up, while Chilean forward could make his debut after
joining the club this summer.

Boss Alan Pardew is expected to play both Fabricio Coloccini and Cheick Tiote in the Capital One Cup tie at Old Trafford.
Both senior players are recovering from knocks: Argentina
international Coloccini has overcome a hamstring problem, and Ivory
Coast midfielder Tiote is fit again after a calf injury.
Elsewhere, Rob Elliot could again deputise in goal, while Danny
Simpson could be back in training later this week as he bids to regain
fitness following a hamstring injury.
